Step 1-3

Numbered vs. Federal Named Corporations

Numbered Corporation

A numbered federal corporation is assigned a unique number by the government and does not use a business name. It is ideal for businesses that do not require public branding or prefer added name privacy.

Named Corporation

A named federal corporation operates under a chosen business name approved at the federal level. This option is suitable for businesses that want to build a recognizable brand while operating in Ontario.

Complete the registration form with your federal corporation details, and our experienced team will handle the required filings to ensure compliance with Ontario regulations.

Corporation Name

PLEASE NOTE- A NUANS report does not imply preapproval of the name; rather, it represents a suggestion that has been reserved. After reviewing the proposal, a federal government official will make a decision (accepted or denied). The NUANS report is your proposal for a 90-days name reservation. The final decision (permission) to register the name is known as a name pre-approval.

You can upload the NUANS/Name Approval here or you have the option to send it later by email.
